If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s Web site. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click System and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager. Note If Control Panel is in Classic View, double-click System, and then click Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow. Now expand the devices and check if you are getting any exclamation or cross marks with the devices listed. Right click the device to view the properties of the device and click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions to install the driver. You may also refer to the below mentioned link - If you do not get any driver listed to perform the update then I would suggest you to visit the below mentioned Dell support website and download and install the latest drivers for your computer- Hope this helps. Just reinstalled Windows XP Home on my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. The Control Panel Device Manager showed some question marks. I went to Support.Dell.com to download the device drivers. After downloaded and installed more than 20 drivers, there are still 4 question marks: 3 Base System Device and 1 Network Controller.

However the 3 base system devices are still showing the question mark. Posted:, 11:14 PM I am having a similiar issue: PCI VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_01BD1028^REV_0A 4&2FE 911E8&0&0BF0 PCI VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_01BD1028&REV_01 4&2FE 911E8&0&0AF0 PCI VEN_1180&DEV_0852&SUBSYS_01BD1028&REV_05 4&2FE 911E8&0&0CF0 Those are all the details that I can get for the device drivers. Everything else is pretty generic or with no data at all to help figure out what the drivers out. Any idea what these devices may be? I believe they are the same as cjeffwang's issue -Richard 'cjeffwang@gmail.com' wrote: > On Aug 13, 8:24 am, 'cjeffw.@gmail.com' wrote: > > Just reinstalled Windows XP Home on my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. > > The Control Panel Device Manager showed some question marks.
